In its commitment to providing timely medical assistance, Jagriti Foundation Charitable Trust proudly announces its 10th noble endeavor to aid a medical emergency. This time, the foundation extends its support to Charanjit Singh, a respected vernacular newspaper correspondent from Pathankot, who was gravely injured in a severe accident. This effort is made possible through the compassionate guidance and recommendation of Trustee Sunny Mahajan.

Background: A Call for Assistance

Sunny Mahajan, trustee of the Jagriti Foundation, highlighted the urgent need for medical support for Mr. Charanjit Singh, who suffered extensive leg injuries in an accident. Following the incident, Mr. Singh underwent an emergency operation at a private hospital and is currently recovering from multiple fractures. His treatment journey is ongoing, with a crucial plastic surgery procedure anticipated as part of his rehabilitation.

Treatment and Financial Assistance

The Jagriti Foundation, adhering to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s philosophy of “Sarbat da Bhalla” (well-being of all), has committed to standing by Mr. Singh during this difficult period. The foundation has pledged Rs. 30,000 to contribute to his ongoing medical needs, gathered through generous donations, including:

• Sh. Shammi Chhibber and his family: Rs. 25,000
• Sunny Mahajan: Rs. 5,000
• Jagriti Foundation’s modest contribution: Rs. 5,000

This combined financial support is aimed at aiding Mr. Singh’s recovery, ensuring he can continue to provide for his family and return to his professional life.

Managing Trustee RPS Walia extends an earnest appeal to friends, trustees, and well-wishers to join hands and assist Charanjit Singh and his family in their time of need. All contributions are eligible for benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, allowing donors to contribute towards a noble cause while receiving tax advantages.
