e RESOLUTION No 7– Dated NOVEMBER 2, 2020
This Resolution has been moved by the Managing Trustee RPS Walia to provide basic Homes to the poor& homeless people of the area for the year 2020-21. The Resolution has been moved as an e-Resolution as no regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees could be convened due to the situation prevailing in Punjab and all over India on account of the menace of Covid-19.
Background of the Resolution:
Upon the nomination of learned Justice Rajive Bhalla Retd High Court Judge as our Chief Patron earlier this year, we called upon him at his Chandigarh office to seek his support and advice to run the Trust. Justice Bhalla elaborated on certain issues including the project for the homeless and needy residents of the Dhar area. With the clue in mind, we started to think about the suggestion.
Thereafter a piece of news was circulated on FaceBook sent by Mr.Naresh Pathania Media representative for Dunera that few houses of the poor people have been damaged during Monsoon rains that need immediate Govt help. Upon reading we started to work on the project despite that planning and execution during Covid-19 times is all the most difficult. Jagriti Foundation (JFT) decided to send a Fact-finding team lead by our friend Yash Paul Sharma who is our Additional Managing Trustee to conduct a need-based inquiry. We have drafted the proposal upon the report of the Committee.
Proposal:
We propose to build two homes for the two families that live in Village Sarti of Dhar Block. We have verified that the homes of the family got badly damaged during Monsoon rains and the financial condition of the families is very poor to afford the home repairs. Even no help from the Govt has not been received to date. The details of the families are below: 1.Ashok Kunar s/o Mangu Ram Village Sarti, The person is a Chowkidar by profession and belongs to the Harijan community. He has his wife, mother, and two small boys to support. The photos are attached.
2.Ashok Kumar s/o Rumi Ram, General Category, Profession laborer, has a wife,5 daughters, and a son to support. Photos attached.
JFT plans to rebuilt small modest homes for the families at is cost with Mr, Yash Paul Sharma as overall in charge. All payments will be made to Mr.Sharma on submission of the cost incurred in the execution of the project as per the plan attached for which consultation has been made with Mr.Bhatti architect from Pathankot and Mr. Vijay Mahajan Former Chief Architect Haryana. The approx. the covered area would be around 280 sq ft consisting of a room, kitchen, and small verandah that will cost to JFT approx. 1.50 to 1.60 lakh each.
Resolution:
Accordingly, I move the resolution to seek the approval of the Trust, to construct two homes as outlined above under the command of our learned Acting Managing Trustee Mr.Yash Paul Sharma who will be reimbursed the actual cost of the project upon submission of the details by cheque payment up to Rs. 1.50 lakh each approximately. The project will begin upon collection of the sum requested for Rs.3 lakhs and would be completed within three months.
Donations:
All learned friends, office bearers, and philanthropists are requested to finance the project so that we could start building modest homes for the poor.
We are sure community and friends will contribute( any amount) to help JFT to accomplish this task that will go long way to mitigate the sufferings of hapless families. All help will be a boon for us to accomplish this task.
I as Managing Trustee pledge Rs 10000 for the project and so my learned friend Mr. Yash Paul Sharma pledge Rs. 10000 for the missionary project.
Thanks all,
