Memorial Tower Built in Memory of 23 Children Who Lost Their Lives in an Accident; 10 Students’ FDs Deposited

Pathankot: In a noble initiative by the social organization Jagriti, a memorial tower has been constructed in Fattewal village of Pathankot district in memory of 23 children who lost their lives in a tragic accident in 2018.

The organization’s team, comprising 10 trustees, 7 patron members, and over 250 supporters, played a key role in completing the project. Alongside the tower, a memorial park has also been developed to remind people of the incident and to offer a peaceful place for visitors.

As part of its social welfare initiatives, Jagriti has also opened Fixed Deposits (FDs) for 10 students to support their education and future needs. The organization, supported by retired officials, social workers, and NRIs, continues to extend financial aid to needy families across the region.

पठानकोट। जिले के अधीनस्थ फत्तेवाल में संस्था जागृति द्वारा समाजसेवा की दिशा में एक अनोखी पहल की गई है। संस्था ने 2018 में हुए उस दर्दनाक हादसे में जान गंवाने वाले 23 बच्चों की याद में एक स्मृति मीनार का निर्माण करवाया है। इस कार्य में संस्था के 10 ट्रस्टी, 7 पेटेंट सदस्य और 250 से अधिक सहयोगी शामिल रहे।

संस्था के सदस्यों ने बताया कि इस मीनार का उद्देश्य बच्चों की याद को सजीव रखना है ताकि आने वाली पीढ़ियाँ उस घटना से सबक ले सकें। मीनार के निर्माण के साथ ही संस्था ने एक पार्क का भी निर्माण कराया है, जिससे स्थानीय लोग विश्राम और ध्यान के लिए स्थान का उपयोग कर सकें।

संस्था द्वारा 10 छात्रों की एफडी भी करवाई गई है ताकि उनके भविष्य को सुरक्षित किया जा सके। संस्था जागृति जरूरतमंद लोगों की आर्थिक मदद भी लगातार करती आ रही है।
संस्था से जुड़े सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारी, समाजसेवी और एनआरआई लगातार इस अभियान में योगदान दे रहे हैं।
