Fellowship Distribution function 2023 is organized in SRSPM College, Niari

A fellowship distribution function is organized in SRSPM GURU NANAK DEV UNIVERSITY College, Niari under the guidance and directions of Principal Dr Balbir Singh Manhas (OSD) . JAGRITI FOUNDATION CHARITABLE TRUST very kindly distributed fellowships to 25 poor and deserving students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year from all the four streams of arts , comm, science and computers.

Function was presided over by Prof Dr Karanjeet Singh Kahlon, Registrar, Guru Nanak Dev University ,Amritsar. University has a special considerations and concerns for this college for being in the most backward area, he said in his address. He asked the students to be very sincere towards their cultivated aim to achieve the success and involve themselves in volunteering to sharpen their skills, which is highly needed in the present world of competition.

RPS Walia, PCS, retired SDM and Managing Director of the TRUST in his address asked the students to work hard to succeed in life to vail out the family from the hardships. There is no shortcut in life to achieve the goal and hard work is a key to success , he said. S S. S. Gill Chairman, Sukhjindera group of colleges and trustee JAGRITI TRUST also motivated the students and asked to be serious towards their study.

Others present to grace the occasion were Sh Raj Kumar trustee, Sh Umesh Kumar, madam principal of Pratap World School, Pathankot, , Sh Parshant Sharma and Sh Rahul Sharma MD Hunky Dowry Resort. Assit Prof Rajni Sharma and Assit Prof Pushpinder Kaur very nicely compered the Programme. All the staff members including the non teaching staff sincerely worked hard to make the function a grand event and did the duty diligently.

Dr Manhas thanked the chief guest for very kindly being present all the time despite his official busy schedule. He thanked the JAGRITI TRUST for having a place for the poor people of this most backward block and has resolved to uplift the living conditions of these hapless people . He applauded the staff members for arranging the function with all dedications.

Novelty of this function was that it was the first day when newly added NCC contingent in the college stole the show. With mere training of few hours, cadets performed par excellence. The function ended with the excellent presentation of GIDHA by the students.
