NEW MISSION OF SERVICE-SOCIAL WELFARE-KANYADAN

NEW MISSION OF SERVICE-SOCIAL WELFARE-KANYADAN, JAGRITI FOUNDATION CHARITABLE TRUST(REGD)
Village: NIARI, TEHSIL DHAR KALAN
DATED-SEPT 24,2021
SUBJECT: SOCIAL WELFARE MISSION- KANYA-DAN PROJECT FOR THE YEAR 2021-22.

Background of the Project:
Jagriti foundation was launched by adopting all missions of day-to-day life that effects citizen. We have already ventured into all walks of life like education, health, horticulture, greening, medical emergency, housing, infrastructure development including the Darban model village project. It is a matter of pride that we are already serving in one way or the other hundreds of people and we hope that with the support of the system that governs us we hope we could serve thousands of people in times to come.
Two important fields which we had not ventured into are Social Welfare and Tourism. With this project, we are set to enter the field of social service. We would like to serve the area in another important field if we get an opportunity to promote hospitality or Tourism development in any form for which we have invited the cooperation and support of the local people.
No doubt the Government Sahgun scheme is already in vogue but such schemes are bogged down by red-tapism and are often not sufficient or delayed too long that defeats its very purpose. Keeping in view we entered into this field by launching a pilot project of helping a poor family in solemnising the marriage of their daughter on Sept 17, 2021.
We feel it is a great service to the family and community by supporting the needy and poor in their hour of need. A brief detail of the Pilot Project is added herewith.

Pilot Project:
On the information of Thakur Kewal Singh of village Hara, we experimented with our new project “Kanya-Dan Project under the Social Welfare Mission” in which we gifted Rs 11000 to a needy and poor family of village Saral near Harial area of Dhar Kalan Subdivision/block.
Our team reached to the family on the pre-wedding marriage of Miss Meena Devi daughter of Beasant Singh and Mrs Chanchlo Devi at village Saral Village. The family selected comes from poor strata and there are five sisters and one brother in the family. Meena Devi being the youngest daughter. We deputed Trustee Gunneet Sethi along with Sarpanch Pallavi Thakur and her father Thakur Kewal Singh on Sept 14, to bless and donate Rs 11000 to the bride on Sept 14, 2021. The field feedback that we received vindicated the genuineness of the information and certified the genuineness of the gift. We took pride to help the family on this junction in solemnizing a sacrad duty that God has bestowed upon every parent may be rich or poor.

Our Plan:

Keeping in view the success of this pilot scheme and feedback received from our learned trustees and non-trustees, we plan to introduce a scheme captioned “Kanya-Dan under Social Welfare Mission” to the needy and poorest of poor cases on case to case.
We will follow the following guidelines:
The foundation will pay Rs 11000 to the needy family as a gift in the shape of a cheque or kind as the need is in favour of the parents.

• A maximum of up to 5 cases will be adopted as per our financial standing.

• Efforts will be made to seek the help of donors on a case-to-case basis.

• Kanya-Dan will only be granted to the BPL Family irrespective of caste consideration card would be a pre-requisite. Only the economic status and family structure of the needy will be considered.

• The applicant has to apply to the trust at least one month before the function.

• Each case would be examined and a committee of three trustees or non-trustees would be Authority to decide the case. There would be the Project Director of the scheme.
• The gift would be given at the time of marriage or pre-marriage function in the presence of Relatives and guests.
